Avatar: Reckoning turns the hit film world into a mobile MMORPG shooter

Archosaur Games, Tencent, Lightstorm Entertainment, and Disney today announced a new mobile game based on the Avatar: Reckoning, a hit sci-fi movie.

Reckoning is an MMORPG shooter that will be released for iOS and Android devices later this year. It will include solo, co-op and player-v-player content. Arcosour Games is using Unreal Engine 4 for development.

Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time, grossing 2.847 billion. Disney is gearing up to turn a solo movie into a franchise, a sequel is being prepared. Ubisoft is also working on Avatar game for console and PC.

Located in China, Arcosor Games has previously created mobile titles such as Dragon King and World of Kings.
